We learned many years ago that the best memories we have of the 4th is when we stay close to home and light off our own fireworks! We had a few families over to celebrate with us. We BBQ'd in the backyard and even set off quite a few rockets back there (sorry Kidd's if any came close!) then we decided it would be safer to move out front. There has to be some joke somewhere that starts off, "How many grown men does it take to light off the fireworks?" It was hilarious how quickly they became kids again! But we loved it and enjoyed a great show! Plus there were about five other shows all around us! And we didn't even have to move! After the kids loaded up on popsicles and sparklers they were pretty tired! Our friends the Gustins all fell asleep on the front lawn - while the fireworks were still going off! Thanks everyone for the great celebration!
