Brian is now 11!

Once again we have another birthday in the house! I can't believe that Brian is now 11 and next year he will be 12 and will become a Deacon! Where does the time go! Brian is a real livewire and a blast to have around the house. There is never a dull moment when he is in the room. His teacher at school has told us that he has a real positive influence on the class room and can easily get everyone laughing! For his party this year all he wanted to do was to go to a Seattle Mariner's baseball game! Although we are not overly into sports, Brian makes up for that! He is a fan of any Seattle team and jumps at the chance to see them in action. We planned his party pretty quick this year so he could include his friend Bryan Allen who was visiting from Texas and was leaving the next day. He had Alec, Bryan, and Kaleb go with him along with Taylor and Aaron. They had a blast! He can't remember what the score was (we won) but he does remember getting on the big screen three different times! They always put the groups that are cheering the loudest or making the biggest fools of themselves up on the big screen. It totally made their day!

Brian loves many things but is really into Star Wars toys. If there is a new big toy out he will save forever and buy it! With his birthday money he bought the new tank which is huge! But he is thrilled with it and he and his friend Alec can trade e-mails about it all day long. I'm glad he still loves to play - they seem to grow up so quickly. He also loves to read - his favorite books are the "Diary of a Wimpy Kid" series. He just howls with those! He also loves playing the Wii (he got the new Wii Sports Resort for his birthday) and the Xbox with his big bro. He really enjoys scouting and just moved up into the 11-year old group. He was able to attend a few days of scout camp with Aaron and Taylor and even knocked off a few merit badges! He's on a roll! We love him and we are so glad he is part of our family! We hope you have a great year Brian!

This year he just loves anything to do with Star Wars and the Clone Wars. He has a few Lego ships but mainly likes the ones that come built. He has quite a few of them and I'm wondering where more will go!

I loved reading your description of Brian (Taylor too!). We are so happy that we've been able to get to know Brian these past few years. Alec adores him and I think Brian has been a great influence on him. They have a strong friendship and it will be great to see it grow!
