I cannot believe it is over, but on Saturday Aaron and I (and some friends) ran in the first ever Seattle Rock and Roll Marathon! After months and months of training it is finally over! What a day it was! Over 25,000 people were running it and we have never seen anything like it! Aaron ran the full marathon at just four hours (way to go hon! I'm so proud of you!) and I ran the half at 2 1/2 hours. It was the hardest thing either of us have done but so worth it! We couldn't have done it without our "training buddies" though! Aaron is so grateful for Rob Darling and his countless hours of training. He also could not have done it on Saturday without Randy White! You rock! Your upbeat attitude and priceless counsel was so appreciated! You should write a book! Aaron also ran with JoLynn (you are awesome, girl, to keep up with these guys!) , Jason, and his brother, Derek! Our friend, David Downing, also ran the half with us (although he finished a good 1/2 hour before I did - way to go)! I couldn't have finished without my rock and running partner, Tracie! I love you girl! We did it! What an awesome feeling! Thank you all so much for your love and support through this past year. Tracie and I just signed up for the full for next year! Are we crazy? Maybe a little, but you have to be to pull this off!

hey kira! i was just about to email you and ask if you had any pictures of jason! do you mind if i steal the one you have here?!!
you guys ROCK!!! seriously!!!!!
I am so impressed! My Uncle was lamenting not being able to do that race. He had surgery a week ago. Sounds fun. I am threatening to do a half in the fall and some day do a full. I think the sense of accomplishment would be so awesome. Way to go!
Love the posts! You guys are great. The kids are growing so fast and look like they are doing so well. We are so impressed with your running! Nice work. We hope we get to see you soon. Love you guys!
Oh yea, that was good fun!... I can't believe that some of you have already signed up to run the full marathon next year... it's a little too close for me to commit to anything yet. I am still trying to make it down stairs without falling, get up out of a chair without swearing, and be able to put my shoes on by myself! It really was a good time though and as Randy told me countless times during the race "pain is temporary, pride is forever" - So once the "temporary" pain subsides it will be fun to talk about doing this again. Hat's off to all that ran - very impressive showing by all!
Congrats on all your accomplishments!!! I can't believe how grown up your kids are - time flies way too fast!!! With the birth of our little one last week, MaryLou said that makes 90 for Grandma Moulton's posterity - crazy, huh?
wow that's impressive! if I get to the point where i could run a 5k one day I will be happy! unfortunately I do not like running too much! :)
I'm so proud of you both for finishing it, it was fun to train with you Kira and I'm sad to miss the Ragnar, maybe next year!
