Well, the kids have gone back to school and it is quiet (very quiet) around the house once more. As I think back over the holidays, I'm filled with gratitude with the amount of time we were able to spend together as a family. The kids are at such a fun age. They actually like and want to be with us doing things. That time will disappear really quick so I need to remember that everyday. Spend time with them now before we can't. We stayed around Maple Valley for Christmas and were blessed to be with good friends and family. Christmas Eve found us with the Wiggins family. We had a casual dinner (yummy) and enjoyed having them here. It was an early evening so that we could still do our family traditions. After they left we read the Christmas story from the Bible and then we each opened up some pj's! That's a tradition handed down from my side of the family. Then we set out cookies for Santa and went to bed! On Christmas we woke up around 8:00 and headed downstairs. It was such a fun morning! We took our time opening gifts and playing with new things and also enjoyed some homemade cinnamon rolls we ordered from the Pollocks! They were so yummy! Around 2:00 we headed out to the Moultons and enjoyed another yummy meal (do you see a trend?) and then left the kids there to stay the night. Our weather this year was so opposite from 2008. We had tons a snow and freezing temps last year but on the 26th this year it was close to 60 degrees! Aaron and I ate lunch outside for heavens sake! It was so nice to see the sun - we are all lacking bigtime on vitamin D! Thank you everyone for your thoughtful presents! We love and appreciate our friends and family so much! Thank you for the wonderful memories!
