Thanks to my friend, Coleen, I was able to find some pictures to show you the beautiful colors that were here a few weeks ago! They were breathtaking! And these weren't photoshopped, I promise! But now they are all gone - how sad! I also wanted to include a poem that Brian wrote last year that talks about the leaves:
Fall is When the Leaves Change
By Brian Moulton
Fall is when the leaves change
from green to brown
A naked tree shivering in the slight breeze
blowing through its skeleton
Fall is when the leaves change
The tree stands naked,
day after day after day
With no leaves gripping to all its arms
Fall is when the leaves change
Leaves lying dead on the ground
beneath the tree
A breeze rushes past the tree's feet
The leaves were here and now they're not
Fall is when the leaves change.
