When our good friend, Carrie Schmutz, moved to Chicago last year with her family, we promised to come see her soon! Someone got the ball rolling and it all came together into the funnest trip. There were eight of us all together and we couldn't have been more excited. We stayed in a really nice, small hotel, off the beaten path. There was a mix-up on our rooms when we got there, but after a little flirting with the guy at the front desk we ended up with a huge, two-bedroom suite. The family room alone was over 1,000 square feet! We stayed up late every night just talking and laughing. Some other highlights of the trip was a river cruise through downtown Chicago. I love this city! We shopped at Filene's Basement, American Girl, and H&M. We all got makeovers at the Mac counter and we ate amazing food. We got tickets to see "Wicked" and cried the whole way through. The best part was going out to Carrie's home and seeing all the work they had done. It was beautiful! We miss you Carrie!
